Ideally situated for car ferry access to/from
Yarmouth, close to Isle of Wight attractions
such as Alum Bay leisure park and the Needles
where you can take the chairlift down to the
coloured sands beach for a boat trip to the
lighthouse. It is also only a 20 minute drive to
the lively town of Shanklin via the scenic
coastal route then inland to Godshill and
onwards to Shanklin. For those wishing to adopt
a more leisurely pace without the car, there are
fantastic coastal walks with glorious views.

Freshwater town has some quaint and family-run
shops plus the larger chain stores such as
Sainsbury's and Co-op - useful to know for self
catering holidays! It is also the main shopping
town for residents of West Wight. Sainbury's is
at the near end of the town centre and the Co-op
is at the far end of town. |
